In a tragic incident that unfolded on Sunday, a terrorist attack targeted a newly constructed police station in the volatile Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The assault resulted in the loss of four Pakistani policemen, with several others sustaining injuries. The Bargain police station in Laki Marwat, situated near the southern border of the Waziristan tribal district, fell victim to this ruthless attack, executed by terrorists armed with a formidable arsenal, including hand grenades and rocket launchers, according to local law enforcement officials.

Following the confrontation, the suspected terrorists managed to escape the scene, prompting a rapid and extensive search operation by a substantial police contingent to locate and apprehend the culprits.

Mehmud Khan, the Chief Minister of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, strongly condemned the attack, describing it as an act of cowardice. He promptly requested an immediate report from the provincial police chief to gather a comprehensive understanding of the situation.

President Arif Alvi also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the fallen policemen and vehemently denounced the attack. He affirmed the commitment of Pakistan to persevere in its efforts to eradicate the remnants of terrorism and ensure lasting peace and security.
