New Delhi: In response to the escalating pollution crisis, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced the closure of all government and private primary schools in Delhi for the next two days. The decision comes as pollution levels in the national capital surged into the “severe” category for the first time this season, and experts predict further deterioration over the next two weeks.

Taking to ‘X,’ the Chief Minister expressed, “In light of the rising pollution levels, all government and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 2 days.” In a concurrent statement, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has also confirmed the suspension of physical classes in its schools for the same duration.

This precautionary measure is intended to safeguard the health and well-being of the city’s primary school students and educators amidst the hazardous air quality conditions. Stay safe and take necessary precautions during this challenging period
